Double Cylinder Deadlock
A double cylinder deadlock as the name applies is opened from the outside and the inside with a key. The advantages to having a double cylinder is that it prevents the door opening which ever side a person is on.
These locks are often used on glass doors. If the glass is broken, the door still can not be opened. You also see these locks fitted to gates to prevent people putting their hand through or over the gate to open the gate.
Deadlatch
The deadlatch is a popular choice for apartment doors. An apartment door will be a fire door that will need specific door hardware and locks fitted. The Lockwood 001 deadlatch family is a very common lock fitted to these doors.
A deadlatch uses a latch instead of a bolt. The latch allows the door to close and lock when the door is pulled shut. A door closer is used on apartment doors to perform this action.
Window Locks fitted
Most types of windows can have a window lock fitted to them. There are a wide variety of window types that all require a specific type of lock. The most common type of window lock we fit is to sliding aluminium windows. These windows usually require what is called a Vent Lock.
Wooden casement windows are another common type window we fit locks to. There are a few options for fitting a lock to a casement window. Some have a bolt that locks the windows together. Some use a mini window lock to secure the window.
Sliding Door Lock
Sliding doors are usually locked with a handle lock that secures the door to the frame. These locks are often not secure enough to stop the door being forced open. There are better and more secure handle type locks available for a sliding door.
A Patio Bolt can be added to a sliding door. The patio bolt has a bolt that slides into the frame of the door. This can be a more secure type of lock if fitted correctly. The patio bolt is usually fitted to the inside of the door.
Cupboard Locks fitted
Cupboards come in many configurations and are made of many different materials. Most cupboards can have a secure lock fitted to them.
The carbine cupboard lock is one of our most popular locks for cupboards. It can be fitted as a latch or with a bolt. It can fit a wide range of cupboards. These locks can be easily keyed alike or matched to fit a front door key.
